Over the course of the last decade, husband-and-wife duo Nicolaj and Ditte Reffstrup have built Ganni from a small Danish cashmere label into a cult favourite with a knack for churning out viral designs, while reimagining Scandi-style for today; playful, experimental, and conscious. Designed for the woman who’s independent, loves to travel and has a positive outlook on life, the cult brand’s optimistic and energetic new season collection exudes the label’s signature Ganni-isms, voluminous proportions, and unexpected textures. A mellow-yellow colour palette forms the base of the collection, highlighting Ganni’s signature statement graphics, boxy cuts and chunky footwear while adding a rebellious punk-twist, taking the brand’s Scandi-cool aesthetic to a whole new level.
Ganni’s SS18 collection entitled ‘Global Citizen’ involved international collaboration and exchange, working with creatives from all over the world to create a truly vibrant and high-spirited campaign. Ditte Reffstrup doesn’t like to admit that she has a favourite Ganni show, but she does. It was the fall 2018 collection, which was dedicated to her hometown of Copenhagen. That season, New York-based Serbian artist and photographer Ana Kraš was commissioned to wander around the city and capture snapshots of Ganni’s models amongst surprising faces and places.
Inspired by the sentimentality of ‘Global Citizen’, LN-CC commissioned photographer and long-standing LN-CC collaborator, Raphael Bliss, to capture our Ganni girls on a tour of LN-CC’s hometown, Dalston. Immerse yourself in the culture of East London as the campaign visits some of our favourite local destinations.
